Got a message recording that said, This is Victoria Caldwell bla,bla,bla, case against you bla,bla, incorrect name case number xxxxxx. So, I called them from my recorded line at my work. A very kind voice said Processing Division how may I help you? I told that I was calling from a recorded line in response to a message I received that was ment for another person and that I would like for them to stop calling me. She informed me that her line was recorded as well then asked for my name and number. I told she could not have either, however, I will give you the case number associated with the number. She said that was fine. Gave her that number. She responded with a name. I told her I do not know that person and have never heard of them. She asked for the last four digits of my phone number. I told her. And she said I would no longer get calls from them. We wished each other a nice day. Call ended. Have not had another call.

REPORT THEM. As soon as they threaten with legal action, they are outside the law. In my case, they are saying they have a 15 year old debt to collect and are threatening to bring me to court. A. 15 years is well outside the statute of limitations, and therefore makes this a "time barred debt", which they can't legally collect on. B. they are obligated to provide a written release of debt responsibility once any actual debt is paid, which they refuse to send me. It is important that you DO NOT PAY them anything over the phone, as it will not guarantee that they won't just sell your information to the next debt collection scam artist. And if you agree to make a partial payment, the statute of limitations just starts over again at which point legal action can be taken against you. Here is their physical address in Atlanta: Cambridge Asset Management 100 Hartsville Center Parkway STE 500 Atlanta, GA 30354 Send them a letter requesting that they do not contact you. Repeated calls from a woman threatening me to call back and take care of pending charges before they find me. If I don’t call and they find me I will no longer have a chance to settle. Scam call just like one I got a couple years ago. Trying to scare people into paying off fake debt or charges. I have no pending debt or charges. Robicsll to give case number and phone number. Blocked caller. Never trust this kind of scam!
