Received a call from 404-455-9111 (Georgia #) stating they attempted to deliver a package the day before (said it was by either FedEx or ups, a common company I didn't think to write down). She asked if I would be home the next day from 12-5 for re-delivery, I said yes. They gave me a filing # for the supposed package, (which is not in the format of ups, usps, or FedEx tracking number), and also gave me a call back # of 866-294-5258. Lady said her name was Analise Walker. Next morning I receive a call from a private number which I don't answer, and the same person leaves a really weird voicemail. Says she will be showing up at my work and that I should have some form of ID on me. Goes on to say she will be "contacting your employer prior to arrival, to see if my presence will require an authorized escort of the presence of a manager." Exact words. Left the same call back #, name, and package number as before. Apparently they think stringing words like authorized and escort together in a nonsensical way seems professionally threatening enough to get a call back. Will be reporting them to the ftc if they call again. No doubt they're fishing for personal information from people who don't know better.
