The person called and immediately started demanding information and when I would give no confirmation and asked who they were, they said "Clear Recovery" and said they could not say anything more until I verified my information, read my address and demanded to know if it was correct, then when I refused said they would send me something in the mail and hung up.

I had almost the same experience. They should change the way they start their call and not demand information from me, and more or less tell me to answer their questions. I hung up. My kids don't talk to me that way. And neither will you.

this guy calls daily asking for someone i don't even know and when i say sorry wrong number. he just laughs and says that is ok i just like to hear your voice, would you go out with me sometime, if you say no i will just have to call again tomorrow. this guy gets creepier and creepier every day. sometimes he even asks me what i m wearing and other very personal questions about my breasts. i don't have caller ID but as soon as i realize who it is i hang up.

Legit debt collector that doesn't leave a voucemail. I assumed it was a scam until they called me dozens of times and I got a notice in the mail with the same number. MCA, IF IT IS IMPORTANT, LEAVE A VOICEMAIL.

If they are a legit business then they would leave a message and not hang up when you answer. This number just called my cell I answered and got a dial tone then the same number called my work I answered got a dial tone. I know how debt collectors work and they do not do just hang up they leave messages to call them back. I know because I have done collection calls before and I have hired debt collectors so I know the laws and guidelines that they have to follow and what I just experienced is not amongst them.

Called me to collect a debt, it is legit but No Name above is right, it is incredibly unprofessional to call and not leave a voicemail to explain why you're calling. I don't answer numbers I don't recognize.

Call and leave voicemails claiming I haven't paid debt that was settled years ago. Called the company I had the debt with to make sure, I settled it all and owe nothing. Don't trust these people.
