"Billing Department" (Financial services) reported by


Cell phone identified the caller as potential spam. The lady I spoke with had information about my balance and I told her I was going to pay online. She said that sometimes it would not go through properly if paid online. I told her the call came in on my cell phone as potential spam, I didn't feel comfortable paying with her and she still insisted that I should pay over the phone. I paid online and told her I had just submitted it and that was it. I can't say whether or not the number was legitimate.

Fake "legal case" (Scam call) reported by


Called using my mother's name saying there was a "legal case" against her (entire description)..... Did not say what town or county or what the case was. Said my address is suspected to be a spot she may be (I live three timezones away from her, I can confirm she's just sitting at her own home as I type this). Said she needs to call an 855 number (not an area code near her) to talk about her "case" and said "She WILL be located" and ended the voicemail.

When I answered, it said trying to reach so &so, then said all representatives are busy helping other callers at the moment please stay on the line and then they put me on hold with music. I hung up. They called me.

This robo/scam/number called my home phone at 8:58pm,on a Sunday night!! I answered w/ "Someone better be dying!" ... I hear a click sound, followed by..."Hello?..Hello?" I responded again saying "Is someone dying??" The man/robo/**** then let out a chuckle sound saying "You know, you are hard to get ahold of. I am calling on behalf of the State Police Department....." then the phone cut out.

Someone called me from this number claiming to be from Wake Forest Baptist Health. When I started asking questions, they hung up. I called Baptist's actual number at 336-716-3988, and the customer service person said that this number is not listed as one of theirs. Also, she said that all my accounts and my wife's accounts are up to date and no one should have called regarding them.
