Claimed to be DirecTV, free Upgrade (Unsolicited call) reported by


Claimed to be with DirecTV, and notified me that I would be getting a free upgrade(Movie channels like MGM and Sony) for the next 3 Months, and then would be paying for the upgrade after that. They also said I could cancel at anytime. So, they asked for my confirmation in getting the free upgrade. I declined, and they asked why, so I said that you said "I could cancel at any time". He thanked me for my time and hung up. One other note: I'm not saying it's a scam,but it could be; I know there are scams that try to get you to say "yes" so they can record it and use your recorded confirmation to get your information elsewhere.

claimed to add hbo and cinemax to my DTV w/o my permission (Scam call) reported by


called "on behalf of DTV" in regards to "savings" and proceeded to tell me that I would now have HBO and Cinemax added to my account for the next 12 months for only 15.99. I said to absolutely not add any programming to my package and they tried to hang up. I got them to stay on the call and said do not add any programming to my package again and she said we are just a promotions department and cannot remove any programming and that I'd see it on my statements in the next 24-48 hours. I said do not do that and I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was place on hold and someone picked up the line and the call was immediately disconnected.
