Student Loan Scam (Scam call) reported by


Answered the call and waited to hear a human voice before I hung up. A foreign voice starts speaking, asking me if I wanted my huge student loan debt to be forgiven- only problem with that statement is I haven't had any student loans in over 30 years. Hung up and blocked the call immediately. Sad that I pay for my cell phone and cell service, only to be harassed with these unsolicited phone calls on a daily basis. Why Congress and the FTC cannot do something about these harassing calls is beyond me. It doesn't do any good to block the calls, because they just call back within minutes from another similar phone number.

I'm no longer convinced these are scammers. The people making these calls and texts are just out to harass anericans. Numbers come in 3 at a time so their list must be vast. Looking forward to the next Hindu holiday so I can have a day off. Our government and phone companies are helpless to block calls coming from the same number for months?

I answered the call and when I put the phone up to my ear all I heard was a busy signal. I didn't hear anybody's actual voice nor a voice recording.
