This number is currently used by a Sales Aggregator for auto insurance brokers identifying as AutoInsurance.com. A U.S. insurance broker "hires" these folks to get them customers/sales leads. The SAs operate offshore, dialing thousands of numbers at random in complete disregard of the National DoNotCall Registry. Occasionally, after annoying untold number of folks, they get someone to pick up and express an interest, then that person's info is passed on to the U.S. agents. When they call ME, I pick up and keep them on as long as possible, feeding them bogus info about the vehicles (usually 3 of them) I need insured (maybe someday I'll have a 2013 Mitsubishi Gallant...). After a week or 2, the U.S. agents will call, and I'll keep them on as long as possible, giving a heaping helping of more total crap, and telling them that I reached out to AutoInsurance.com ONLINE (as specifically directed by the offshore caller...) looking for good rates. Eventually (I try to go 15 -20 minutes), I'll let them know that they have been PUNKED. I explain that the SA they are using is operating illegally, and that THEY are implicated in the crime by using them. I also point out that their firm's good name may be sullied with bad online reviews and possibly a BBB complaint, and that a good chunk of their day may soon be wasted by a growing number of angry tele-punkers. Yeah, its a little work, but I'm pretty **** about my phone ringing unnecessarily all day, so I determined to PICK UP AND FIGHT BACK!!!!

Misrepresented extended auto warranty (Scam call) reported by


The caller spoke with my elderly husband, while I was not home. After 30 minutes of forceful conversation, my husband agreed to purchase an extended warranty for our auto. The plan was misrepresented and the amount to be withdrawn from our checking account was large. When I returned home and found out what had happened and I called the number that was indicated on my husband's cell phone, and spoke with a so called Manager, Nicholas. He then referred me to 877-259-2387, the Customer Service Dept. My discussion with a Manager, Dave Shoff was heated. I gave full disclosure of what had happened and requested a cancellation of the extended warranty. This Dave was rude and kept trying to negotiate with me on a lesser priced plan. I was very upset and told him that my elderly husband, who has Dementia, was confused and purchased with our debit card what needed to be cancelled. Dave was arrogant and stated that how would anyone know my husband had Dementia, no more than , I would know that he was a Cancer survivor. It went downhill from there and I quickly realized I was involved with a very professional scammer. He finally stated he would cancel our policy and no funds would be withdrawn from our account. After contacting our bank, we learned the funds were withdrawn that evening. The bank is working with us to investigate the matter. I filled out a lengthy report and am waiting for our refund of $495.00. Without my husband understanding, what he was signing up for, this scam artist, had my husband agree to a plan totaling $4,200. This meant a withdrawal of $495.00 a month for 12 months. I plan to report this serious matter to the District Attorney's Office directed at the Consumer Protection Dept. These scammers prey on elderly people and anyone else that does not fully understand what they are agreeing to. After researching this company on the internet, I am fully convinced they are running an illegal scamming business. Watch Out for this company!!!

I ASKED TO CALLER ALEX GREEN ( ACCENT FROM A DIFFERENT COUNTRY)TO TAKE ME OFF THE LIST. CALLER ALEX GREEN YELLED BACK AT ME AND SAID HE WAS TRYING TO INFORM ME OF THIS AUTO INSURANCE COVERAGE.I POLITELY THANKED HIM BUT TOLD HIM I WASN'T INTERESTED, HE LAUGHED AND HUNG UP THE PHONE.
