They use a system that switches to a person if you answer if you do not answer it will not leave a message. According to other sites it is own by a telemarketing company.

Got a phone call from this number - answered - one of those automated calls that waits for you to pick up, they ask for _(insert name here)__, wait a few seconds and then just talk as if you had responded. This call was from a "J. N. from American Disabled Veterans" wanting to make sure I was aware of some important thing for veterans that needed my support. I am annoyed by these phone calls in general, however this one, claiming to be helping veterans just really **** me off. As a wife of a Marine this one really **** me off. So many people automatically give money to organizations because they hear the word veteran or military but then so much money gets thrown in the opposite direction of those actually in need. Check to see if they are a legit charity on http://give.org before you give money!
