"Jeff" asked for me by name. I didn't say who I was, just asked "may I ask whose calling pls?" He said he's w/Disabled Vet Assoc who help all the men/women who've done so much for us/our freedom & it's time for their annual drive & would like to count me "again" for my support by sending me an envelope for my donation. Folks, maybe I shouldn't have said to him that I'd help but I'm all about helping vets/first responders IF it's indeed going to them. So I said yes send me an envelope. This is when things took a left turn to strange! He says "great, we have 3 levels of support. $30, $25, or $20, which can I commit you for?" I reply "I'm disabled & on SS disability myself so I don't know exactly right now it'll depend on how funds look at the end of the month but send me the envelope & I'll definitely commit to something." He says, "well thanks anyway have a nice rest of your day!" I ask, "so you don't want me to support at all now bcuz I can't tell you an exact amt?" He HUNG UP! Not sure if this is really a legit call or not. Don't see anything really negative on here so figured I'd leave my experience from today so you can make your own decisions if he calls you. I'll continue to support vets through Disabled Vet Assoc with Trace Adkins. At least I know that one is legit!
