Talks about Apple products. I've never had an Apple product. (Robocall) reported by Muggwamp
As per all descriptions above, I too am getting robo calls that leave this #315-232-8257. As others, this caller is spoofing by trying to use local prefixes. I answered once just to get the info. Now I just answer "police department" and it hung up on the 3rd attempt this morning. I may answer with a fake government name again just to play with them. It is a fun game!

12 messages all same, local #s iCloud hacked.I don't have iCloud (Scam call) reported by NKW
The same voice used (computer generated?) left message that my iCloud account was hacked. I don't have an iCloud account. The numbers on caller ID were local businesses, including BNSF railway and the State of Texas. Since other posts show the same message received, it must be some type of scam.

Apple Support Scam (Scam call) reported by Sophiecls
I have received over 20 calls in the last three hours from different numbers that look local but all give the same recorded message that my icloud account has suspicious activity and I need to contact Apple support by either pressing a number or calling 315-232-8257. When I clicked through and told them I don't own any Apple products and want my number removed, they hung up on me. The calls continued with at least one every five minutes for about 30 minutes after.

Apple Support Account Compromise (Scam call) reported by Delilah Dae
This number called my Android phone this evening at 5:43pm and again at 5:58pm. Suspicious of the first number, I let it go to voicemail and Googled the number they claimed as being 'toll free' and found this page. As I was writing this report, they called again, this time it was from a local hospital in my area! Answering the phone, it started out with a terrible voice recording claiming to be Apple Support, so I waited it out and was given options, and pressed the option to speak directly to an agent. It was a male that had broken English and went thru his quick spiel, and I told him in a firm voice that he was to remove my number from his database immediately. He said no. I told him it was a scam call, and that he was calling about an 'Apple' issue to an Android device and he said no. I said he was to remove me because in the moment we were talking, I had already Googled the number they had left on voicemail and already knew it was a scam and that I had rights to request to be removed from their call-list, and he said no. I told him to remove me now and never call again and he said no. Ugh! I went ahead and hung up on him because apparently the only true English word he knew was no. Be careful of calls coming from local businesses in your area. They have already called back three more times, showing up as other businesses around us.

Apple i cloud scam (Scam call) reported by jm
Foreign accent guy wanted remote access to my computer to fix my problem. I did not do it, just kept him on the phone for 15 min to get intel on their scam. DO NOT ALLOW them access to your computer or phone. I would assume they will corrupt, lock or steal personal info from your system.

Apple Support Scam Call (Scam call) reported by 70.36.216.xxx
These scammers must have called me 11 times in a row. At times I have been harassed by this scam in the past. Every once and while I answer, ask for a name of the "customer service person" and then tell them I am going sue them for harassment. Today it was "Eric Monty" with a very heavy India/n accent. I told Eric I will be suing him and his fake "support" company.

I got email this morning from my state Attorney-General, warning people that it's a scam and to not provide any personal information over the phone to random people who call. I of course would have known that, but it's good that his consumer affairs people are on top of issues like this.

SCAM CALL (Scam call) reported by unknown
Called several times using numbers that are near me. I tried to speak with one person, they transferred me to another and then asked me if I was so and so (using my maiden name)...I haven't gone by that name in nearly 20 years so I knew it was a scam.

Fake Apple Support (Scam call) reported by Mark S.
I've received 22 spam "Apple Support" calls today - in just the past 4 hours (and counting). This is my business line, so I need to pick it up for work. The mistake I made was talking to a person and telling him to stop calling me (Indian accent, call center noise in background). He laughed at me, and that's when the calls really started coming faster - every 10-15 minutes. All are spoofed local numbers, including a day care center and our local Cadillac dealer. Sheriff's Department said call Comcast. Comcast has been less than helpful. I'm on the national do not call list, the NoMoRobo list, and have call blocker on, but nothing is helping. We can fly in metal tubes, live in space, land rockets on asteroids and bring them back safely, plus find a vaccine for Covid-19 in 8 months, but we can't stop fake robo-calls?! WTF????

"Apple Support" scam call (Scam call) reported by emelvy
Robocall from spoofed number with my area code and first three digits. A few times I pressed 1 to speak with an agent and told one of them Do Not Call. Then I spoke to a fellow with an Indian accent; he insisted he was calling from California (but his spoofed area code showing on my phone was mine, from Tennessee). I asked him to tell me what was my breached Apple ID -- he guessed my last name @aol.com. I have never had an AOL account and told him that was not my Apple ID. He was a bit flustered and then hung up. Sometimes a foreign woman answered and sometimes no one spoke to me although I could hear many conversations going on in the room. Then I blocked their robo machine for about 30 minutes by pressing 2 after each repeat of the message. No one intervened to end my blockage of their machine, so it seems they have more than one machine. So far today they have robo called me more than 15 times in the last 3 hours. The calls are now coming in every 5 minutes, but I'm letting my answering machine take them.

Scam call. (Nuisance call) reported by Dog Mom
I got a call every 5 min. for about 20 min. from a different number. It was using phone numbers from my local calling area and because I am on call for work, I have to answer. After about the third time when I talked to a person that had a VERY thick accent, I told them I don't have any Apple devices. They told me the iCloud for my iPod was compromised and at high risk. I told them they were going to be at high risk if they didn't stop calling me!! They finally stopped--today, they're back at it again! It doesn't help to try and block--they just pick another number and call. Somebody needs to figure out how to stop this nonsense.

How long did it take for the calls to stop? They started calling me yesterday morning about every 20 minutes, and then in the evening every 5 minutes or so. And now this morning is started again.
Steve_K2
Same here.
We can send a man to the moon (when computers were a joke), but we can't stop scammers in 2020?
vicki
In the past two hours I have received six phone calls leaving the same fake iCloud message, each one from a different (ghosted) local number - one of the numbers came up on my caller id as Walgreens Pharmacy! I almost wish it was a real person on the other end of the line - a blast from an air horn usually stops them.
Kathleen
Started calling me about 3:10 PM today every 20 minutes or so until I finally unplugged my phone at 5 PM. Is there no way we can stop this? It’s driving me crazy!
