Social Security Suspended Legal Action (Scam call) reported by


Called and left call back number. Called and a foreigner answered and said that they have seen fraudulent activity on my social security and that it would be suspended. They asked if i received a letter from the police department or from social security. I said no and then he gave me his badge number and then wanted to ask me questions to verify my identity. It just felt wrong and I said this doesnt feel right and that Social Security needs to send me a letter in the mail and he said ok we will send you a letter and i just hung up.

They left a voicemail regarding a warning about Social Security (Scam call) reported by


The voicemail was from someone with a foreign accent. I hid my caller ID and called the number they left and it was answered by someone with a foreign accent stating this was the Social Security Administration. I told them things I can't say here.....They hung up on me. Go figure. I think if we all did this en masse it might make them stop...

My retired parents were called and told that someone in Mexico had their identity and they needed to transfer their money into a government issued account to help protect it. Of course they were providing the account number.
