Caller pretends to represent Canada Revenue Agency (Scam call) reported by Zeke
This is the equivalent of the US IRS. Caller fraudulently claims that CRA is about to seize your bank account and place Liens on your property and threatens additional legal action if you do not call back. These people scam older people and immigrants who do not have any understanding of how CRA works. CRA will never call asking for banking or other personal information without sending out registered letters instructing YOU to call THEM at the number indicated in the correspondence. In order to avoid the inconvenience of receiving multiple calls, some phone systems (Panasonic and others) allow you to block calls from specific numbers. If the blocked caller calls, your phone rings twice only. That way you know you have successfully blocked the call. On the callers end, they simply get a dial tone.

Automated voice claiming to be Revenue Canada and threat of arrest and confiscation of my property.

claimed to be revenue canada & a lean was being put against me (Robocall) reported by HETCH
Have received call from 1-281-9195344 claiming to be revenue canada . This is third call claiming originally that if I did not call back a warrant was being put out for my arrest, knowing this is a scam call did not call back. received third call saying that a lean was being put out against my property.Thuis is an automated call not a human. Do not know what happens if I call back and do not intend to. Revenue Canada does not operate this way. ANYONE RECEIVING THESE TYPE OF CALLS DO NOT CALL BACK.
