When I said I didn'the have loans caller said "oh yes you do" hung up and no longer answere. I think a lot of these type calls come if you do any surveys on sites like Get it Free.

Student loan debt (Scam call) reported by


Called to help me with my student loan debt. When I said I didn't have any they hung up on me. The next day I got a call from the same number saying they were irs and I had to settle my 33k tax debt and they would take 500 now and mail me papers to start monthly payments. When I said the irs will send certified letters and not phone calls they threatened prison time saying they are going to call my local police and have me picked up. I said I'm I'll be waiting they hung up on me.
