Notification from MD VAX to schedule COVID 19 vaccine (Robocall) reported by


I kept ignoring this call and after daily calls for three days, I looked up the number and it turns out it’s Maryland’s automated system to follow up with you if you preregistered for the COVID 19 vaccine via onestop.md.gov for mass vaccination sites and you’re at the top of the waitlist to get your vaccine appointment scheduled. I called back at the GOVAX number it provided in the voicemails (855-634-6829 aka 1-855-MD-GOVAX) and I chose #1 and I was routed to a medical scheduling assistant who helped me set up my covid vaccine appointments. Not a scam, I’m going to the green belt metro station tomorrow for my scheduled appointment. My boyfriend preregistered later than I did online and when he called the GOVAX number, he wasn’t able to schedule since he didn’t receive the robocall and was later on the list. Also FYI turns out the Montgomery College Germantown vaccine location is separating and doing their own scheduling process for covid vaccines (which I found out via phone with the medical scheduler).

The voicemail lends to being spam as it starts mid sentence. Asks you to return call or call a different number. I called the different number, seemed to be spam, but when I called redialed the number on the missed call, got through to a live agent to get my vaccine appointments scheduled.

So it is legit related to COVID appts?! They’ve called twice and always left a message. Don’t wanna fall for a scam but don’t want to miss my vaccine appt opportunity either.

Yeah it’s legit, I just called the number left in the voicemail (turns out it’s the MD GOVAX number aka 1-855-MD-GOVAX) and was able to schedule for my appointment tomorrow at the Greenbelt metro station
