Called saying i promised to make a donation back in April. When I said i didn't know what they were talking about they hung up on me.

Answered call, no one says anything for a while but I could hear people talking in the background. Then they said my first name only. I did not confirm whether that was who they were speaking to or not. I asked who was calling. I was told it was Lania (spelling?) from the Childhood Leukemia fund asking for money for wish baskets. I told them that I did not want anything to do with this, and that they shouldn't even have my number as I am on the do not call registry. She then began laughing, and eventually hung up. I have been receiving several calls a day from different numbers, all with similar interactions. However, they usually say they are from my vehicle's warranty department. This is the first time they tried a different approach.

This number calls my husbands cell phone constantly while he is at work. When he answers they ask him to verify his name, then one of two things happens: either they hang up immediately or they give him a name and then hang up. It's harassment.

The person calling asked for a different name. When I told her she had the wrong number, she launched into a spiel about breast cancer (a cause I support). I explained (truthfully) that I run my own non-profit for children with cancer and was in the middle of an event and could not speak at that moment. She pushed on and when I tried to explain again, she became rude and hung up. I was fuming. The phone call could have been conducted far more tactfully with a better end result.
