My man got the same call. How dare these ppl scare ppl. He waso upset he got an anxiety attack. I called from my phone no answer. I called back from his phone they answered right away. Heavy middle east accent. She said treasury dept. Then she said let me look your record. I hadnt been asked anything.then she said is this dan. I said no it was charlotte she said can she speak to dan, no one in my house is seriously named Dan. My name isnt even charlotte. She said wrong number and hung up like she dialed me. First off the govt would NOT leave you a crapy recording, second they would send you a notice by mail or by sherrif they do not call, for any legal infraction. The treasury would def send you a letter first. DO NOT GIVE THESE PPL YOUR INFO. If they are the govt they will tell YOU what your info is.

Told me I needed to put my work aside and call the number immediately, as another poster stated "if I don't call back or have my lawyer call, I would be arrested for three days". I called the number back and was told that I had a warrant for my arrest because of tax fraud, and evasion. Asked if I had a lawyer and then was told that I would be arrested in the next 30 mins.

Got a msg from this number that I need to call or the authorities would be at my door to arrest me and held for 72 hrs under criminal charges.. Ticked off.. I called back to a heavy accented man answered stating it was the US Treasury Dept.. who asked me if my last was "the name he stated".. I said no and asked who is was and where he was calling from.. He said he was Agent John Williams.. I started to laugh and said I couldn't believe they were trying to scam me!! That the US Treasury would not make a call like this!! He then stated that I should not call and harass him!! I said I was just doing what your threatening msg you left told me I was supposed to do!! I then stated that now I am hanging up and reporting them to the authorities.. To which I was told to have fun with that!! LOL Really??

FRAUD (Scam call) reported by FRAUD
Message stated I needed to stop what I was doing and contact them now I had 3 days to respond. Stated they detected fraud. Called number back did not work.
