The original number call came from 800-846-9983, but the message left was to call them at 210-888-8390 regarding a possible law suit or something if I don't take action by calling them back at this number.

I have been getting calls from various area codes, multiple times a day. I block every call that ends this way (in a loud beep and hang up). I know many other people who have had this happen to them. It is clearly a scam. Why is this legal?
