I picked up to find was on a robo dialer, few clicks later some lady came on and said hello. When she realized there was a person on there, she hung up. Likely another spoofed number of the scammers that dial me same time each day, one day it's the IRS the next it's a "no interest" credit card offer, unsure if it is the same as the heavy indian accent that calls from "microsoft" to save me from the virus that is attacking my computer. All you have to do is give them payment info/social security/remote access/etc...

Very Suspect Number (Telemarketer) reported by


I didn’t answer the call mainly because I was in another room but also due to not recognizing the number other than it’s a San Antonio area code. Being it might be business related I called it back. Just said an agent would be with me shortly, no identifying agency or company information, then on hold with music for about 5-10 seconds. Male with a droning monotone voice comes on but can hear other people in the background. He’s asking for a specific person who apparently previously had my recently gotten phone number. Told me ok, wrong number, we’ll take this number off of our list. He wouldn’t tell me his first name nor the name of the company or agency. After trying to ask for this info again he promptly said goodbye and hung up.

I answered and they asked for my first name - I said who are you calling with and rudely she said, is this ______ or not? I asked again who they were calling with and she said its a personal matter. I said ok, but where are you calling from and she said "I don't care" and hung up. I dont owe anyone money so I dont get collections calls- she didnt have my last name and was super rude.

I answered that call. They asked to speak with [insert my first name]. I said speaking. They tried to verify my last four of my social. When I asked what this was in regards to, the guy said do to some third party law he couldn’t give me that information and attempted to verify my last four again. I asked again what is this in regards to and in the middle of me asking for the second time, the guy get upset and continued to verify my social. After I told him that I will not willingly give away personal information to someone I don’t know, he said that he has verified that I was not the person he was looking for... kinda fishy!
