they made misleading statement posing as google representative, they will ask for personal info, i declined before asking them the question "do you work for google" they immediately hung up.

I've been getting these calls lately. The first few calls I answered I presumed, incomplete information on record (for Google Business, also, I have a few google business listings) So this scam has been playing on that notion. First few times, we would generally get disconnected and eventually they would call back. I maintain my accounts pretty well, and I knew this third call was scam finally. Last time I answered their call, and we ended up repeating the same stuff as before but it was clearly phishing for additional info. When I tried to get them to re-clarify their company and association with google, they kept say "we ARE google, we ARE google". (my logic, was, if I can see my dashboard/profile info is complete, then so does Google) Hung up on them, but now they continue to keep calling. Here is the kicker. The number they keep calling is my SPAM-TRAP phone number (A google voice number). I don't publicly publish the number, and it is strictly known between my google accounts. Cold Call telemarketer.
