Jack, from Microsoft called six times over the past four days. Saying I had a critical error coming from my computer. I played along for a while, then I asked him if he knew what I did for a living. Law Enforcement. He said, so you think you can find me, ha. I know off shore, random generated, thick India accent. Poor Jack, he can't stand to be challenged. He has called back three more times trying to get me to answer, I finally blocked his number. If you have time, rattle this guy, he cannot stand it and becomes quit upset.

Tried to get me to log onto my computer by telling me that they received a single telling them there is a problem. I told him I would not log onto my computer for him and he hung up on me. (Indian man) The same man has called several times from different numbers. Last time he said that I paid money a year ago and that I'm due a refund. He told me to log on to my computer and I said no. If you owe me money mail it to me. He said it had to be done through computer so I told him he could keep my money. He said "wow" then hung up on me again.

They have called me multiple times. Saying they are from windows and they are going to help with my computer. I played along both times. 1st time I asked wouldn't my computer have to be turned on to send you notifications. He said well yes, yes it would. My laptop has been in storage for over 2 years. 2nd time I said I was on conputer and it restarted and was handed off to 3 different people. I called them arabs. Then they started saying I was a Arab am my name was muhaid ????????. I'm from texas

Got my first call from these crooks yesterday. “This is Jenny from Microsoft” - then call was abruptly dropped. Their scams have been all over the news here for some time now. These D-bags are NOT from Microsoft and are just looking to scam money and/or personal info out of people. Block and report them and NEVER give them anything! The FCC recently announced it is working on cracking down on scams like this including a way to block their calls en-masse before they ever reach your phone, which would be easier than going after the actual scammers since many of them are off-shored in India or other overseas locations lacking adequate extradition laws. While they often use hacked info to call people, they also use random number generation software so not even unpublished numbers are safe. I like wasting their time by talking on and on about them, their mother, Etc, Etc. but all in German, they don’t understand a word and it drives them nuts!

The number called my elderly mil at 7am. I did not know if she called them first or what was going on when she handed me the phone to help her. They told me to do a bunch of stuff so they could remotely fix the computer. My mil told me she had a problem with it last night so I thought she called someone. Anyways, I went pretty far with them and then after they hung up on me 3 times I felt something fishy was going on, so I asked for a callback #. Hope they don't get info from her. Why do people suck so bad?

I have received calls from Manitoba Canada and today from D.C. claiming they were Microsoft Tech Support and that my laptop was sending crash reports to them. Well, today, coincidently, that is TRUE! My laptop crashed a few hours ago and sent a crash report to Microsoft. When he wanted to remotely connect to my laptop I said "NO". I asked for his call back number and he gave me this number (202) 870-5573. AndI should add that in ALL instances when I received these calls the person on the other end was INDIAN and ENGLISH was not his first language!
