Low life bunch of **** threatning to come to my place of employment and have me arrested pressed 1 like they said to tell them they had wrong person they hung up on me so called them back when they realized i wasn't going away they finally answered and i told them just what i thought of the dumb F_cks

I have gotten these types of calls in the past. Last time it was for a citicard that was paid and closed in approximately 2006. They get your info, take an old card you may have had, then tell you it wasn't paid and you owe money on it and if you don't pay they will come to your home or work with Marshalls. I had to find old print outs of old credit info to even see these old cards. I believe it was part of the Experian breach and old info is being sold over the internet. Most of us do not have access to old info once it falls off your credit report. I have been working diligently on my credit and I know exactly what is owed and it's all under control. THIS IS FAKE, do not answer these calls. I have been served legitimately before and the marshalls office sends it out...no warning, no calls. It was an old Verizon bill that had gone to collections. But anyway, this is not the way it works and would be 100% illegal to threaten on the phone and not identify themselves.

Not the Behavior of Legit Debt Collectors (Scam call) reported by


Appears to be a scam. Legitimate debt collectors send letters detailing the alleged debt, and you have 30 days from the date of receipt to respond to the letter and request more information. REMEMBER THAT: Do NOT just send money to someone threatening you over the phone. By law, they have to send you a letter. Besides, genuine process servers don't warn you before serving complaints, as that defeats the purpose. They'll come to your door unannounced and barely identify themselves. Left message that need to verify my address and place of employment or they will contact my Human Resources department to follow proper protocol to deliver my paperwork on the property. Well, I'm self employed so they clearly don't have a valid account on me or they would know this. Failure to comply will result in an order for my appearance. Tired of these scammers!
