Social Security Scam (Robocall) reported by


I recently applied for Social Security Disability so somehow these people got ahold of that information. The call purports to be regarding that application and denial. It starts out with the caller stating that "her" name is Amber and she is calling on a recorded line and then she says, "Can you hear me alright?". The "Can you hear me alright" part is pretty typical of the robo calls I've received lately. They're doing a better job of making the calls sound like they're from humans, so beware. When I don't answer the question the call is disconnected. By the way, "Amber" starts out by saying she's calling about MY Social Security denial, however, she never asks who I am. Keep this in mind when you answer a scam call. If they already know who you are without asking, they don't know or care who you are. Any pigeon will do. Stay alert!
